By the way, all 4 lines, 2 draw, and 2 return from the tanks to the splitters need to be roughly the same length. Within a foot or so of each other.

All good advice. Not a technical job just dirty and no fun.
Goes to show how they don't make things worth a crap anymore. You replaced all the lines on your 14 already. My 01 still has original. CrazyJoeyJunk and HoneyBadger67 Thank this. -
I started noticing a bit of a rough idle a few days ago coupled with a smell I couldn't define. It only struck me today that, at times, it smelled vaguely like diesel. Hot atomized diesel doesn't smell the same as when it's a cool liquid.
I'll get in touch with KW tomorrow and see if they have either the lines or a fitting for a tempermanent fix.
Thanks. -
That's probably #10 Stratoflex then. Yes, the end can be replaced.

I’d personally just change the line because it’s most likely going to leak elsewhere or worse collapse inside and cause numerous issues.
w9l Thanks this. -
Like all things, I was having trouble getting the field reusable fittings and hose through Paccar dealers. Switched to Napa hose, Eaton H213 hose. They seem to be able to get it quicker.
Oxbow and HoneyBadger67 Thank this. -
Everyday my list of spare parts to carry gets that much longerOxbow, w9l and spsauerland Thank this.

Since everyone asks for advice but no one ever posts results, here is 'closure' for everyone....
Made an appointment to have fuel lines repaired and just said F-it, replace both driver's side lines and that was a good call as supply side was brittle for most of it's length. Both lines were also completely empty of fuel, so hopefully the pump was able to draw enough through one to not do any damage by running lean.
2 steel braided rubber lines with fittings installed came to around $1k. Better than being towed and still paying repair.
I'm ready for a vacation. Once empty in Tacoma, I'm taking the rest of the month off!w9l, spsauerland and Magoo1968 Thank this. -
That’s been my experience when leaks have developed in the past too. Smart move changing both.HoneyBadger67 Thanks this.

I was just looking at my expenses for changing lines on the 14 w9. I had to make a total of 7 lines and I replaced the return splitter and re used the draw T. Stratoflex, 14 fittings , splitter and zip ties and a quart of gasoline and a pint of Dawn to clean myself up afterwards= 541.55
Go to town , get parts, install=7hrsspsauerland, HoneyBadger67, Oxbow and 1 other person Thank this.
