    Oh? Why wouldn't less displacement mean better fuel economy? I understand that HP comes from the fuel but 500 HP from 14L and 500 HP from 11.1L should be different?!

    What are the best injectors for max fuel economy? Have you tried them?

    Why don't you take a crack at explaining why less displacement would get better fuel economy.

    As far as injectors for absolute best mileage, you have to size them to the displacement and HP/TQ that you're after. 5915s are a 500hp injector but for the 12.7, not the 11.1. The get those injectors to make 500/1650 in an 11.1, you'd have to be way outside the "sweet spot" as far as pulsewidth.

    @benjamin260_6. I created a new post to get some feedback on my thinking why the EGR and lower displacement should get better MPG. Here's my new post:

    Thoughts on Cummins 5.9 -> 6.7 vs Detroit 12.7 -> 14L (EPA & EGR)

    I’d love to get my hands on a old 11.1 Detroit, or a 12.7 Detroit in a flat top Volvo, or FLD120. They’re impossible to find!!! I’d even take a Volvo, or older FLD120 with a cummins. I can’t find any trucks with a flat top sleeper at all!
