That is one thing we can agree on. I will sit in the truck stop parking lot & go broke before I go broke pulling freight for pennies on the dollar.
$ per hour worked..

Agreed...I'll bounce it home before I'll pay them to haul their freight.outerspacehillbilly Thanks this. -
You mean they don't know about the pink lace curtains you put in the truck either? OOPS You might have not wanted that out there either.
-
You got that from 1 phone call?
outerspacehillbilly Thanks this. -
Nah. Just messin with ya.
You get that truck back together yet?

Ihavent read all the replies on here. But I think others have a point that its silly to look at x, y, b, d, a, etc and factor in everything else in order to figure otu what your pay is. You could go on and on doing the same with a local job. What is work and what isn't? You may very well punch in at 7 and out at 3:30 but you and I both know very well that you didn't 'work' that entire time. etc...
My pay with SNI is 23 bucks an hour...IF you look at the hours I drive and am on duty; AND don't look at my time in the sleeper berth.
Man, this is really starting to sound like pro-union stuff. Now you want to get paid for the inconvenience of sleeping. Using that same line, you probably want to get paid for going potty at a place other than your home too, lol.
Again, like others have pointed out...sorry for reality to slap you in the face here, but this is what you got when you signed up for the job. You job actually requires you to be Over The Road, meaning, away from home. The friggen JOB TITLE says what you will be doing for petes sake!
Lol, its kind of silly to use points in your argument, telling about the benefits of being home by using examples that only apply IF YOU ARE HOME. You can have a great time on the road doing all sorts of stuff, and I don't even need to provide examples for that. Drinking alcohol...no you can't do that in a truck. Can't stop you from walking to a bar down the road while on your restart. Unless that is, if you can't go x days without drinking a beer. going off road...trucks arent designed to do that. Fishing...yep that can be done. And you make it sound like sleeping in the middle of Gods country is a bad thing. Oh yeah, Id much rather 'be at home in the middle of a huge big ol overpopulated metro area"
I know that wasn't aimed at me because i havent replied in this thread yet, but come on...I only got to page 3 on here before I decided to stop so I dont have a huge reply. -
Shhhhhhhhhhh! It's suppose to be a secret! Actually it looks good. It isn't really that sticker type pin-stiping. Everything is hand brushed. It isn't to much to notice.... It actually looks good. Here is a pic around the door handle. Got some on the hood & sleeper as well.

Sounds like a great gig, if you can get it!
Right up until the company declares bankruptcy, shuts the doors, fires everyone and gives all their freight to the non-union sister company. or am I the only one that remembers CF??? -
Sad truth is.....there doesnt seem to be much difference between a trucker and a wheel holder....guess thats why those of us who care are not appreciated....
