    Its funny how that works.

You know what? I talk to my mom on the phone all the time. She couldnt never understand what I liked about trucking. She retired a year ago and had never been west of Interstate 75. I invited her to roll with me. She was with me for 3 weeks and loved it. In fact, she went for 3 trips at 3 weeks each last year. What really impresses her are women drivers. She wants to ride again in the spring (the winters scare the bejeezus out of her).

But something must be wrong with you and me. Always positive, always in good moods, willing to help.

Well, I have to give you credit for being creative! You made 3 innaccurate assumptions in 1 post about me!
You managed to question my sexuality, my political beliefs , and my emotional state!
You couldn't be more incorrect! If we were face to face, I dont think you would make those remarks to me or anyone else for that matter. You are just like those CB RAMBOS with the blackbelt coax we here anytime we get near some dump of a truckstop! And you deserve to be treated as such!

So Far-Out Billy should just cash in the chips and find a desk job somewheres or work at a hardware store. That way he will be safe when the guvment rids the world of experienced truckdrivers. After all, noone ever lost employment at a desk job.

Got that Far-Out Billy? Sounds like good advice. You will be safer behind a desk.

    outerspacehillbilly Thanks this.

Really? What attitude would that be? I guess having a work ethic and a git'r'done attitude is a bad thing? Do you work for the Obama administration?

Only to people like yourself that have got yourselves in the position your in. I actually have a couple other trucking ventures I'm pondering getting into right now. Opportunities are they but people that have tear filled eyes from crying all the time will never see them for their sight is to blurred.

Let em have it. I'll get another one or I'll make another one. Survivors always survive unlike whiners. I've been surviving all my life and will continue to until the day I die.

Yep I did get my good job and my good money. I also paid my dues to get them. I can't help it if some people lack the testicular fortitude to make the best of a bad situation in order to help themselves down the road.

I'm still waiting for an answer from one of the whiners on this.

    #### I'm glad someone told me. I would have kept driving this truck making money and enjoying life. I better quit this #### right now and be miserable like everybody from OHIO! :biggrin_2559:

And how many of those "exploded newbies" do you think are actually getting jobs and staying in the industry more than 6 months ? They just keep going to the same bottom feeder companies that will chew them up and spit them out . Go ahead and see how many old posters at the Welcome Wagon are still around . Wannabes are just cutting their own throats .

Did you bother to even read the post you quoted? Where does it state that I suggested someone quit? I believe that was advice that was given to me.

On the contrary.... I am extremely dedicated to my family. That is why I'm trucking. See, my family needs a home, food, clothing, electricity, water, and toys to play with. My income from trucking provides all that. Sure, when I'm gone I miss my kids. But it my love & dedication to my family that allows me to be gone. I need to provide for their needs..... And I will stay gone as long as it takes to guarantee that they have everything that they need!!!

Dedication goes beyond the fact of whether your home or not. Sure, I can be home everyday after flipping burgers. But I know that flipping burgers isn't going to be a viable income to provide for my families basic needs.... If I can't pay the bills, then I'm not a very good provider.

Who told you whiners are needed? What ever happened to the days of starting off at the bottom, proving yourself to your employer, and slowly climbing the ladder to the top?

Why is it when a steering wheel holder realizes he is losing an argument, they automatically toss out the gay word?

Truth be told, I am single. I have no woman at home. But I do have several female friends who would love to take that position. And I also go visit these friends when I'm in the areas that they live.
