...i was running car carrier for 7 years ...got used to being careful

Some have been hit by traines, they got hung up on the tracks. The Drivers I run with are very good.

Is there a certain way you look at a road or driveway and decide you can make it or not?

My question is, when you drive a truck that’s so low to the ground with all the trailer fairings and fairings around the semi drive wheels, how do you grease the thing? The only possible explanation I can come up with, is going to the back of the trailer and sliding the entire length of the trailer and truck on your belly.
Ok, seriously I don’t suppose those trucks ever get greased.D.Tibbitt, jason6541, Isafarmboy and 2 others Thank this. -
I remember a coworker years ago telling me about doing a clutch on a car carrier. Had to put the old clutch on a creeper and roll it out the back of the truck, then bring the new one back up the same way. Sounds horrible. I think a pit would be essential for those types of trucks.OldeSkool Thanks this.

View attachment 380735 I don’t haul heavy but I do run low to the ground. Step blocks make getting under it possible, but still not easy. View attachment 380734 View attachment 380735

Nope most fleet trucks have just about everything sealed. They are lucky to get greased every 60k.
How do you do a proper Pre trip with all that crap in the wayblacklabel and OldeSkool Thank this.
