Not sure how this will come up but their safety record gets worse every 6 months . The higher the number the worse the rating . Maybe somebody can explain what's going on here .

I did drive for them, and actually train for them. Their training programs is bad, at best. However, from working with students, and talking to other trainers for other companys, its far better than Swift, Werner. I dont know about Schneider, they never talk to anyone, they are still working on their CB Payment.

I would not go with them. My husband has had nothing but problems with them. My husband has been talking to other US Xpress drivers and most of them are looking to get out.

That seems to be the jist I am getting from the drivers I am still in contact with. They have started inacting new rules that I, and they, find rediculous.. Still its better than others, but still pretty bad.

Hi...just wanted to give a little update. It seems US Express is hiring students. I just found that out, which is why I'm reading this thread.

About the beer and soda gig...the trick is to hire some cheap labor to ride around and do the physical work. While in school I watched a guy delivering to a store. He had 3 guys helping him, all on his own dime. They bust out a truck load then he goes back for more.

And why do you think they are hiring students again ? They ran out of experienced drivers dumb enough to go to work for them .

My truck runs 68. The idle policy is they want you to not idle when the temp is between 50 and 80 degrees. I cant really tell you much more since i only been there 2 weeks.
