I'm a retired driver who drives the Interstate several times a year in my P-U truck. If I'm in the fast lane passing a line of trucks and I see one with his turn signal on, I back off and flash my lights to let him pull out.

On the other hand in the same situation, I've had trucks pull out in front of me with no signal and I have to brake to keep from running up their donkey.

All I'm saying is it goes both ways. There are bad 4 wheeler drivers and bad truck drivers.

Jeepskate and lil devil will end up being a thinning of the herd.:yes2557: Wow where does that thought process come from? They are no better than the truck driver in question.

Let's hope they're just frustrated and venting and don't really harbor those thoughts while driving. If they are serious, your last sentence sums it all up.

I see you don't get the idea that telling him something to make him back off and actually slamming the brakes are different.

Goofball that already has 6 commendation letters from safety spies. It was somethign I said to make the driver think. My record is clean and I don't do stupid things in the truck.

thinning of the herd???, I don't think so, I have been out here since I was 18, I don't think I am going anywhere

and yes I really do have those thoughts while driving and will not hesitate to act on them either, not that would actually kill someone though, they do a good enough job of that themselves with the stupid things they do because they are in such a hurry all the time.

btw, my driving record is clean and I have no tickets or accidents

I should also mention that I am for the most part a very careful, courteous driver, but I have no patience for stupid dangerous drivers, or drivers who think they own the road, or people who tailgate and flash their highbeams at me because they think I have no right to pass, I will tap the brakes to tell him to back off,

I had a 4 wheeler once who was purposly screwing around and wouldn't let me out to get around a slow truck, I started to push my way into his lane until he had no choice but to let me over unless he wanted to go into the median

I've had to do that a few times. I saw one truck before I got my CDL that was trapped behind a really slow truck. He had his signal one for about 2 miles and all the traffic, an unending line of speeders, ignored him and refused to let him out. He got tired of it and did run a car off into the median.

    What gives you that idea?

Some folks don't take too kindly to threats of any kind, including those intended only to get them to comply with the rational wishes of others. If they're inclined to react in a less than intelligent manner, there's no tellin' what they'll do as a result. Is it really worth taking the chance?

I've been in similar situations and have a self imposed rule when that happens, that being to first ask myself if there's ANY other course of action I can take to alleviate the problem. To which my answer has always been "yes", ........ followed by self's better suggestion(s).

I have a terrible temper :naka: and the last thing I wanna do is make myself mad at me.
