You and your ilk are the reason i live where i do, not to mention that suburbia in general and the homeowners associations that come with it are a cancerous rot i'd just as soon see cut out of society.
But its your choice to live as you do, so stop spreading your neighborhood towards ME. suburban sprawl is encroaching on MY 20 acres and way of life. When my parents bought a place across from rolling woodland 30 years ago, they did it because the house had been there 40 years, it was on the outskirts and no hoa, 20 years in, sprawl had overtaken them and it was 2 miles further to get to "the outskirts" now its about 3 miles.
9 years ago I purposefully went to a place with 20 acres and 12 miles away from the nearest subdevelopment, in that time, 6 "neighborhoods" have sprung up within 4 miles all with hoa bs and they have crippled my ability to even get out to my place with a truck, going so far as to just reclassify state roads that are all truck legal as "ends here, it starts again 5 miles on the other side of us" with no provision to get around it truck legal aside from a 30 mile detour.
Why? Just... Why???

I do late at night or bobtail, but the posted no truck over 5k signs do mark me out as an easy source of revenue for cash hungry local cops.
Im not keen on some of the roads they "disabled" anyway but just removing a truck route and not giving us a viable alternative is infuriating beyond beleif -
I don't nessecarly like townhouse, same look housing suburbia either but no way I could live where they park trucks and boats an their yards. So you and I won't be neighbors.
I do tolerate I do compromise I do accept.
What I said earlier was to emphasize that even though the effort and heart devoted into these fancy long base trucks I can certainly understand but no way it is worth more than one glance at it for me.alds, feldsforever, BigBob410 and 1 other person Thank this. -
I'd take a few of your 20 acres and rent them out as more truck parking, send more trucks through their stupid HOAs, but I enjoy being an #######.jason6541, D.Tibbitt, God prefers Diesels and 5 others Thank this.

Exactly what I thought. 80 feet long. Big wheel base. So, the truck pictured in the opening post would probably be 4-5ft shorter than your old car hauler. Piece of cake for you.D.Tibbitt, feldsforever, Roberts450 and 2 others Thank this.

Shucks! She so long the pic dont fit.Flint1, jamespmack, Tug Toy and 14 others Thank this. -
Only time I question "why" is if someone is driving a clearly poorly maintained heap. That said even then there is probably an answer and I go back to minding my own business.
I like my ugly truck, because it's mine.
Flint1, jamespmack, D.Tibbitt and 15 others Thank this. -
