I290 vs 1294 ride quality in Chicago

294 isn't bad if you know what you're doing, and not being one of the morons cruising in the middle lane at 50-55mph for no reason. I stay in the right lane and go 70-75mph. All merging cars go straight to the left two lanes to avoid the stupid truck drivers and the stupid truck drivers merge straight to the middle lane at 35mph because they're scared of traffic.

There ain't a speed limit in Chicago. Just don't get in those left 2 lanes. I've been pulled over going 75mph in one of their 45mph work zones and the officer never mentioned my speed just gave me a left lane violation warning.

If you're running at 2-3AM, why don't you just run up 94N to 41N? That way you won't pay any tolls?
I know that from 294N - 95th St to WI it is around $35 during the day (Different rates during day/night).

 

I'm one of the idiots doing the posted (and largely ignored) speed limit, but I stick to the right lane.
