My wife has one that's recalled. You know what the fix is?...an additional filter to filter any of the stuff out until they contact our insurance and see if they will cover a new machine, even if they cover it, this machine costed us $130/mo for 24 mos for the copay when she got it, and we have BCBS. If they don't cover it, it's a 100% out of pocket expense or live with it until you die of whatever medical issues the contamination causes.

just hapoened to see my sleep doc today for my annual visit. new machine ordered for me(current dreamstation is 5 yrs old)
supplier says they cant ship new one because of backlog. in the meantime to use an addtional filter. A bacterial filter. goes between the machine and the hose. got some from amazon.
something like this, but choose whats best for you....CPAP/BIPAP Inline Filter | Filters Out Moisture to Improve Your CPAP Experience | Available in 5, 10 & 50 Packs Effectively Filters Over 99.99% of Contaminants (50) Amazon.com: CPAP/BIPAP Inline Filter | Filters Out Moisture to Improve Your CPAP Experience | Available in 5, 10 & 50 Packs Effectively Filters Over 99.99% of Contaminants (50): Health & Personal CareLoboSolo Thanks this. -
Hey @supersnackbar
Call the KC terminal and talk to Mo to work up a time to visit KC and let him look at your truck.
He was able to deep dive into my truck and find several minor issues in the software that combined to make the opti idle work improperly.
There actually are settings that configure output air temperature in the sleeper independently from the knob settings in the sleeper. My truck also had a bit of corrupted software that indicated it was the right software, but failed a checksum test.
He's a good tech, and knows the systems well.
It's definitely worth letting him have your truck for a day or two to hunt down broken crap and bad settings in your truck.
Call him, leave a message if you can't get him directly.
It was worth the lost day for me. Hopefully he can get your borked opti idle working too. -

They sell BiPaps online for $1250- $1700. Only need to send them the prescription, and it shows up a few days later. Some online vendors do financing too.
Another option is buying a used/reconditioned machine from your local Respiratory tech/supplier. That might happen for $300-$400, and with their warranty.Farmerbob1 Thanks this. -
I’ve been using resmed since I started on CPAP 6 years ago. So far so good but Lincare can be a pain to deal with.
