You could check with carb to find out. They would answer that question directly. I believe in California your truck had to be a 2011 or newer & that was to register it in California back in 2020.chapito_17 Thanks this.

Looks to me like you need the SCR/Def system introduced with the EPA 2010 engines after 1/1/2023.chapito_17 Thanks this. -

Technically, December 31, 2022 is it. The January thing is when you have to report it. Also depends when your registration is due, if it falls before the end of 2022, you won’t be able to comply for 2023.

I see a lot of non compliant trucks out here in Cali every day. It burns my arse after the all monies Ive kicked down to comply from day one. And these individuals are still running non compliant all these years. I believe what there doing is filing the exemption (1000 miles). But if they ever get caught up with an audit, they’re in for a rude awakening. But again, I don’t think CARB is that advanced yet.

That's cause CARB hasn't lined enough of their friends pockets with the Carbon Trading/fuel tax money yet. I'm sure one of the executive types will help them advance..... once they find a way to get a contract and line even more pockets.Diesel Dave, chapito_17 and baha Thank this.
