    And I’am not calling you guys stupid, we all have the same job and responsibilities to be safe and keep the people on the road around us safe, just amazed how far off the rails this simple question went. And no I’am not a lawyer but I do stay at a holiday exspress from time to time

    One more thing moose your buddy flipping me #### with a goat in his truck..you might want to widen your circle of friends. And I’am not a board member either as if somehow means something. I don’t respond much on here but you and the goat guy are the first to try and take me to the wood shed for something I said lol. Next time I see something with your name on it we will let everyone know to be a little more sensitive on there post for you and goat man!

    Hi everyone, I'm back. I just read through the last page of comments. To make things clear, I do not have a CDL. I was originally going to go through Roehl's program, but I got yanked around by their contracted medical center. That's why I paid out of pocket and went elsewhere. I figured I could just get my permit on my own, and then go from there and see if there was a better company. I still turned in the paperwork their medical center wanted, but I've given up on Roehl at this point. I didn't fancy the idea of flying out to Wisconsin and finding transportation to and from the training facility. I had time to really think things over while that medical center sent me all over.

    As it stands, I'm going with Swift. They are closer, and they have a Veteran Scholarship program that will pay for schooling. The recruiter already knows I have a medical certificate. I still had to go through their clinic, but after a little back and forth with my doctor, the clinic cleared me. I begin my CDL training on Monday. It wasn't my first choice, but at least I wasn't yanked around. The process was a lot smoother than the mess Roehl put me through. I've been ready to work for over a month, and I had planned to be on the road with a trainer by now. I've been studying for my CDL this whole time since I first started to apply, and I'm ready to start moving forward. It's about dang time.

    @Von Shep
    This is well said and well put. @Moosetek13 has been driving for Swift for 10+ years. Dollars to donuts, he is an EXCELLENT truck driver with an EXCELLENT reputation.

    God bless every American and their families! God bless the U.S.A.!

    The absolute sheer driving force of our national economy - without truck drivers, our entire national economy would come to an absolute standstill - if not outright be dead.

    Over the mountains, through the woods, into the valleys, coast to coast, from sea to shining sea - truck drivers can and do go anywhere and everywhere, every day, every night, all year round.
