Well I agree. I've had no issues with running in Canada, other than going to Quebec and having to deal with people who you know can speak english fine but refuse to do so because of some french pride b.s. or something.
I was just curious how WCP felt because after all Canada is including in the NAFTA treaty. Are there drivers who actually like to run into Mexico? If so, I haven't met one yet. And if I did, I'd have to check and see if he or she actually had a pulse

You might as well get ready for it.
I was having a conversation earlier this week with a driver about a recent interview with an economist who stated the trucking industry could see as many as 27,000 jobs disappear before March 2010.
He (the driver) called me with this Arrow headline earlier today....floored about it.
It's far from over. We've reached the "survival" point of many well planned companies, and their bank accounts. Just look at Yellow Freight.
By that I mean, we're advised to hold 6 months earnings personally as a bumper against hard times. Companies typically hold much more for much longer down cycles. But 12 to 18 months is about the average. And we're there.
I'm not implying that someone as large as a Swift or a JB Hunt will be closing. But there will be some surprises in the near future, I'm sure. -
I made a statement to some fellow drivers that I felt that it would get to a point that any trucking company that had under 600 trucks would not survive much longer. And like you said Dance... YellowRoadway, Arrow, Jevic and so on.
And I made that statement THREE years ago. -
lol
i think i heard you talking about that on the CB today, as i drove thru
