    Yes. Every lease I've ever been to in the Permian and the Eagle Ford has had the production lines going into the top of the tanks.

    In Wyoming the production lines are on the bottom, the first thing I do is check the back of the tank before I go up.

    My guess is because when they freeze up it'll be easier to thaw them out if they're below, also more likely to freeze up top.

    I like seeing how they do things in different parts of the country. A lot different compared to the Marcellus/Utica formations. Around me in northeast pa it's pretty much all gas but when i was out in Ohio in the Utica they were getting lots of oil too

    I have no idea, but if I had to venture a guess I would say that they probably produce through an opening in the top of the tank in order to avoid stirring up the bottoms.
