I'm a driver, the company I worked for got bought by another company that knows nothing about trucking.
We are 3 weeks in this new company.
1. We still have the old companies logo, tag, IFTA, and cab cards. I have been told the IFTA license is on the way. We have new company logos that they want on the trucks NOW. But, doesn't the logo with dot #s have to match the tags, cab card and such?
2. We have ELDs, but the company can't log in to them currently, but the driver's can. So, the company wants us to continue using the ELDs and fill out paper logs to turn in daily. Some driver's are local, and some travel out of the 150 radius. I can hear out of service in my future.
There's more craziness, but really need to be clear on these 2 issues. And, yes already not planning to hang around.
TIA
Company bought out and it is chaos here.

Not going to comment on number 1, @Ridgeline would be better at answering it than me.
As for 2, I would keep forgetting until I get home, then print up everything missed from the ELD portal and turn that in.
In no way would I be running a paper log along with an ELD log. There is just too much chance of an LEO putting you OOS for running 2 log books. Yes it's technically a copy, but do you really want to be arguing that on the side of the road?Phantom Trucker, LoneRanger, Bean Jr. and 3 others Thank this. -
Does this company own white volvos, and under the operation of a guy named Vlad or Igor? Asking for a friend.

Running a paper log that is identical to your E Log, is easier than trying to come up with the last 8 days that is required That happened with my E log more than once..

got to be AAA cooper. ASWIFTCOOPER hurts man. just like T FORCE

that’s ok, as long as the company that the ifta is still open, change of ownership happens all the time.
Do exactly what they are telling you to do. They are covering their butts and it is legal because you are just copying what is on the eld for their records to be compliant.Horsepowerchic Thanks this. -
True, but the new DOT numbers don't match anything, and don't have any paperwork on the new company, I mean nothing except an insurance card.

When I ask my ex-wife that (Am I wrong here?), she tells me it's a rhetorical question. And, truth be told, it usually is!
