They will get unemployment.
Arrow closed their doors, lost their trucks.

Nonsense! I worked for a company that went bankrupt. I got my unemployment. There doesn't have to be a firing. When the company shuts it's doors, everyone is fired! lol. C'mon man.
Even Enron employees got unemployment. Pension was shred to pieces but they did get that at least.LavenderTrucker Thanks this. -
I'm hoping you're right, bro. I just wonder how long the court battle will be before these folks start getting paid. And what about the LP drivers?
-
Went through it once.
Bad thing is unemployment takes about 2-3 weeks before the first check. -
This is a bad time of year to be looking for a new job in trucking. Better late than never! Even though TMC isn't great I do at least admire their recruiters attempt to take on some of the unfortunate pissed on Arrow drivers.
They'll be okay in time. The lease guys are probably going to lose the most wiothout much recourse and the courts will take time to settle what can be settled.
It's a piss poor way for them to treat the drivers though. The trucking industry really does suck though. There's no getting around that. -
All of you drivers at Arrow.
If you have a way to get on the internet where ever you are sitting, go to your home state on line and fill out the forms for unemployment NOW! Do not sit and wait! The sooner you get it filed the sooner you go in for an interview.
If you know an Arrow driver that's not a member here attempt to contact them and let them know to hurry and file so they don't have to wait any longer than necessary for money to start flowing!
Pass the word!
Good Luck
Rolloverjtrnr1951 and LavenderTrucker Thank this. -
At least the OK home drivers will most likely get "fast tracked" with the unemployment...usually even the government can be "caring" in this situation.

A truck driver friend of mine ran into a Arrow truck in West Memphis, that driver found out at the fuel island after they let her pump 247.00 dollars worth of fuel. Then they tried to make her pay for it, called the police because she did not have the funds the police told her she had a few hours to pay it or they would have to issue a warrant. When my friend saw her she was bobtailing with 3 other Arrow drivers that had no fuel, she was taking them home then going home herself, said they could come get the truck but was not taking it too them.

The driver is not responsible for the fuel! The card and truck they can keep in leau of the money! I drove for NRF several months ago and had the fuel pumped and then no cash for what was pumped! I've had to sit for a while waiting for the money to hit the card but never had a stop say they would call the cops! But then again, that's West Memphis a pit hole of a city!
If she lives close to the stop she should go home unload the truck then take it back! If she leaves and the police stop her it'll be worse for her as it will be the same as driving off! I hope she can get back to the stop before a warrent is issued on the truck! -
well heres for the life of you. i was stranded 2400 miles from my home. i had a quarter tank of fuel and the fuel cards where shut off the day before. how would you have drove that truck from reno to tennessee? just curious. cause i cant do that math. even with my tanks topped i wouldnt have made it half that way.
