Lol. And what you posted says nothing about the driver doing an inspection, only that before driving a motor vehicle that they are satisfied the motor vehicle is in safe operating condition. And there are ways for that to happen without me as a driver doing the inspection.

    Bean Jr. Thanks this.

So I have a question. If 90+% of the time. Unless you work local. The driver is the only one around/near the truck. It's nowhere near a yard. How is said driver to be satisfied that said vehicle is safe for operation? Without doing an inspection. Answer. He/she is not.

Are you one who instead of " Go drive this truck" need Walk toward this truck, pull door handle to open, climb in the cab, put key in ignition, turn key clockwise one click, turn key more and hold till engine starts, release key...............................................

As asked several times, where does it claim the driver has to do the inspection? It specifically states that the driver has to be satisfied, it does not state the driver has to do the inspection.

He could pay someone else to do it. Even as much as get a mobile guy out if he's in the middle of nowhere.
Yes that's absurd financially, but it's also 100% legal.
The question was never about best practices, it's about what is written in the regulations. One poster keeps claiming the driver has to inspect as per the law, but he can't even post said law.

The Reg has been posted, but you can't read it, because then you couldn't say there is one . The link has been been posted You can buy a video. How can you claim it has not been posted?

Because any regs posted doesn't have anything stating that the driver must be the one doing the inspection, you know, like you claim.
