Well; after reading the same story from about 1000 different posters over the years it gets comical.... I can almost hear the cartoon music in the background.....![]()

. yea it's porky pig. that's all folks. people go in bright and starry eyed hoping for the best. but,as we know different. the story ends the same: pissed off drivers and a bad mark on their DAC.

When I was driving for them there was a female driver for them that had hurt her back. CR England was in the process of repo-ing her truck. She was in a panic as she would have no other place to live with her truck gone. She was trying to get a settlement from Wal-Mart for her injuries. The ironic part was she seemed to think if she made the final 6 months of payments it was to be "her" truck.
I am now so glad I didnt go down this road. My intent is to own, and would have been able to do so if I sought it out (if I had stuck with England). The reality is, nothing their is yours. -

For me, I had wanted to become a truck driver for a long time and when the time came for me to start the journey I wanted to not take chances and insure my success... So, going the route where so many have had difficulties and failure was not an option for me.
I chose to go to a private school, and although it took time and work to find the right opportunity, I got on with a small company. I have received outstanding training by drivers with many years of experience, been treated well.
I understand that this is the choice you two made, and that is up to you... I just don't want newbies to think that they have to go that same route.
The company that hired me stated they requried 2 years experience, I went in a talked to them anyway, and they gave me my start, and a much better start than I could get with one of the big training companies.
Read their websites... If you can become a trainer after 6 months, than chances are you will be trained by an inexperienced driver, some one with only months of experience and that does not set you up for success
Good luck to you both... Please read through the posts here and stay away from the lease scam.RickG, AfterShock, notarps4me and 1 other person Thank this. -
Those big companies make it easy... online application and all.....
Sure with smaller companies you have to do the leg work, go in person to apply and you will have to find and apply to several companies...
It is well worth the extra effort and work.
I started with a good small company right out of school, 0 experience, now I am running with an OO and getting better training and learning what I will need to be a success in this industry...
Again, those companies are not the only option for newbies... they are the easiest and the riskiest....notarps4me and AfterShock Thank this.
