I think he was trying to get guys to find a whole. It looked to me more like 16ish in passing. Was on a faymonville type trailer, and it was pretty tall too.
Seriously I would rather run wide on 30 than on 84 through Ogden Canyon.4mer trucker and beastr123 Thank this. -
Back when I used to run that area often I would've as well. A lot less traffic on 30 than 84.Landincoldfire and Oxbow Thank this.

Dont you need permits to run with the dimensions you have given?
-
yes but you need to plan a route to start the process, Kansas and Tennesse will require a route survey, my dime,
There are some states that I don’t want to run,Illinois two lane roads have lots of low wires. The state will route around low bridges but the don’t know about wires, traffic lights, trees and impossible turns.
it gets harder the taller the load.JolliRoger, gearjammr78, RStewart and 1 other person Thank this. -
Call Utah DOT and they will tell you the I-84 restrictions. . Bout ten days back they had a lane closed going east, a few miles before the 80 junction.

See dump beds for mine trucks being hauled on US30 all the time between I-15 and I-80... Those are well over 15 feet.
