I did have another question. Doe we all need to register with the UCR of driving interstate?
Just to confirm we need to have:
BOC3
Registered with Clearinghouse
Consortium
Insurance
UCR?
Any other things? I feel I’m missing something.

Do you have a CDL? How heavy will you be running? Anything under 26,000 GVR has less requirements.
-
I do have a CDL with all endorsements except hazmat and school bus. And yeah I’ll be over 26,001 including truck trailer and load.
-
Did you read my last message on first page before this page?
-
If you are running over 26,000 you will need all of that.
You will need to register for the drug clearing house
Drug consortium, you will have to get yourself a pre-employment drug test through whoever you hire.
UCR
BOC3
Insurance
IFTA reporting
You will need an ELD -
What’s a good ELD that you’d recommend? Also noticed that the UCR stops taking registration for this year in a few weeks and starts for 2022 October 1st. Should I make sure I register before the 1st to be able to start this year? Any recommendations on a good consortium? Also any other tips are greatly appreciated. Thank you for all the info as well!

What kind of construction is not booming right now ?
Everyone I know in construction is booked up for months .Lite bug Thanks this. -
Depends where you’re located I guess. Price of lumber is still sky high here. A sheet of 3/8” plywood is still $97/ea so no ones wanting to build. And I live in a very rural small town area so most people are selling their land. There’s posibilites that i May start it back up and run both businesses. I know I can get all my guys back and bid on some projects if needed.

I'm not sure why most response didn't post, but I'll post it again. This is the ELD that I use. So far so good. You will also need a packet of paper logs to keep in the cab just in case the ELD goes down. If you are pulled in for inspection at a weighstation, or roadside and aren't able to produce them when requested by the officer you could be fined.
