I have a starting issue with a Cascadia, the starter was replaced, I checked the wiring in the Powertrain harness from MCM 21pin connector to starter and thermistor switch in between. By passed that switch at the starter but it is still the same. The starter sounds like ut engages for a second then cuts off internal Sam Cab relay clicks. Also checked wiring from sam cab connector X19 pin 3 to the powertrain harness and its also fine. Anyone got a similar issue? Checked the clutch switch and its also working good.

Obviously check your battery and connections first, but also there used to be a problem on Cascadia's where the VSS was too sensitive, and during cranking the MCM would see a vehicle speed and disengage the starter. If you have access to Diagnostic Link you can check in there, as well as all the other starter interlocks.

Will check, ty there is a problem that i noticed. A fault relating to CAN communication between mcm cpc and acm. Also batteries were checked and there was a ground to the back of the starter that was not connected. Installed the ground and it still did the same.
