Smoke coming out from exhaust, seems to be excess smoke.

Weed burners are a terrible advice. I want to see rolling coal coming out of the stacks. That's the beauty of a large car rolling around the highways.

 

Nothing wrong with blowing them out, at least til you get new ones.

 

Better off just tapping filter on a flat service to dislodge some debris. I know one guy with a isx that blew out his filter every few months his rebuilt engine that had only 200,000 miles on it was unable to be rebuilt again it had wear everywhere from dirt . He wasn’t resealing filter properly and it would suck up dirt and salt steady they told him .

If you've been running any where near the west lately they could be filled up with ash. I had that happen a few years ago.

 

As already stated, I would definitely check the air filters. If you're not getting the right amount of air you're going to be running rich which means more smoke.

Blowing them out puts tiny holes (and possibly larger holes that you might not notice) in them which allows particles to get into engine.

If you need to get more life out of them you can drop them repeatedly dirty side down onto concrete. Vacuuming the dirty side is likely better than blowing them out if you really have to do something.
