Turn off the lights at a hotel and turn on a black light and see all the evidence of what happened on that mattress before you got on it.

When I worked for Navistar we went on a new truck tour through Canada. One of our guys did the black light thing and tossed his mattress into the hotel hallway and slept on the floor!

Bumper, if you take the job and start making big money you may not want to retire. We had a couple of drivers in their 70's at my old DC.

I already make big money. My retirement is more than that. I am working to pay off the irs debt my ex put us in. Next Christmas I will be free and clear b

Ok I’m up to one phone call, two text messages and three emails. I’m going to call them back tomorrow and see what they have to offer.
bzinger Thanks this. -
I join the thread because I am looking into accepting a Walmart offer but the thread turned into hotels and mattress. If you still work there I wonder if you tell more about the experience, and how that whole slip sit works, and the whole payment breakdown, I was offered .43 cents a mile plus a bunch of other little pays for every stop, etc, I just don't see that amounting to much in terms of paying, how are do you get your miles if you have to do 3 stops per day ?

I have declined their offer because of all of the slip seating involved. It was my decision and he understood and said he would let me know if that policy was changed.

I always used sleeping bags

I declined an offer recently as well. Slip seating and working every weekend, seems like id have to work 14 hours a day to make what I can in 9-10 at my linehaul ltl job. It seemed like it would be fun, a lot more interesting things to do but the damage that it could inflict on my family life wasn’t worth it when working every weekend with no end in sight. It made me sad, I was excited to try something new out but it wasn’t worth the risk. Being at the bottom of a 200 man board had a daunting feeling. I don’t want to be a stranger to my kids.
