Well that's good, they're just laid-off !! They may be recalled soon, like all the Oldsmobile workers. What a crummy crock of crud.......... also, 2nd page wasn't there that I could see..

I actually gained new respect for Schneider as a company, even if it is a publicity deal.

Good luck to the former Arrow drivers on your quest to find a new company to work for. I would hate to be Dave P. right now. He needs to watch his back. He'll get what he deserves, maybe not now but on down the road somewhere, sometime.

I don't think it was publicity...they sent the message over their comm system, not a public broadcast media outlet!

But the real question may be when and how many pennies on the dollar will they offer to buy them out of bankruptcy?

My guess would be that is not going to happen. Schneider is having financial difficulty themselves. I also don't believe that they want to get back into flatbedding. They sold their flatbed division a few years ago to Maverick.

I bet Maverick & TMC are knocking on the door trying to buy Arrow out of bankruptcy though.

Not being a skateboarder...I didn't know that, so given this info...I'll bet you're right on the money there!

    Excuse the pun!

Personally, I don't care too much about *why* the Big Companies are offering help... I just care that they have!

Personally I don't see the point to buying a broke, defunct, and out of business company. The equipment has gone away, and the drivers have all split, 98% to 100% of them never to return. There really is no point to "buying" them out.
What there is a point to doing is have your sales team working over time to pickup the Arrow former customers.
