I never haul them suicide unless I have to load them that way by shipper or receiver requirements. I've seen covered wagons under secure, but most of us do what's required to keep a coil on the deck where it belongs. Yes we do it quickly, but that's because our securement is already in place.

He either strap it or use 2 chains(one for each side), regardless, it was incorrectly secure like said.

Update:
Trucker in steel-coil wreck was ran off road, didn’t realize someone had been killed, 911 call reveals
Driver went an eighth of a mile before noticing. Looking at the picture, the coil rolled off to his left. How can one NOT see that much metal in the road! Mirror fail
NavigatorWife, Diesel Dave and bryan21384 Thank this. -
How could you not feel it falling off?86scotty, Diesel Dave, Mototom and 4 others Thank this.

Coils dont just "fall off" trucks. Please use the right terminology. For example. Driver failed to secure their load.

Yes, but how else do you say it?lovesthedrive and D.Tibbitt Thank this.

The way they word it. Makes it sound like it just happened for no reason. Unsecured load kills driver would be a better title.NavigatorWife, Bean Jr., God prefers Diesels and 1 other person Thank this.

Perhaps the unintended result of one or more nose jobslovesthedrive Thanks this. -
I believe the motorist that claims he ran him off the road was trying to get his attention to let him know what he cause……lovesthedrive and NavigatorWife Thank this.

All "Covered Wagons" I ever saw either rolling, parked, being loaded/unloaded had thick D-Rings on the Deck.
I never, in my short time with Skateboards, pulled a Covered Wagon.
During my short time I preferred Suicide Load as it was easier to "over Chain" as well Tarp.
I will continue to "give lotta room (as feasible)" to Skateboards, Covered Wagons and Heavy Haul!NavigatorWife and Bean Jr. Thank this.
