Yeah I’m in the hills of Northern California and no INE is building currently. Most are selling their property right now and unlike everywhere else prices are low on property. I know everywhere else prices of houses is up. Not here though.

In your opinion why are prices low in your area?

I think it’s do to the main industry where I live. It’s Humboldt County, so cannabis is the main industry in the area. So being that the county is sucking all the money out of growers and making it very difficult to even make money people are leaving. The growers aren’t able to make enough to stay running. The prices for a pound are so low (500-800) yet the dispensaries are still getting top dollar (6000-7700) per unit. The government still requires the growers to pay extremely high taxes regardless of what the growers getting. So there just isn’t anything left after it all and many farms are having to shut down and losing investors as they’re not getting any returns. So in my opinion the reason prices of property are low is because many are selling and there isn’t anything in the area for work. Unless you have deep pockets and want minimal returns everyone is leaving.

At one point many were building and getting their places setup. Which is where my previous business was thriving. (Construction) but since covid hit and prices of lumber and materials sky rocketed and the growers losing money due to the flooding of everywhere having cannabis and prices so low, no one is building anything. And competition against other construction companies just made it hard to stay open along with the stay at home orders that were in effect until just a couple months ago my business suffered and now I’m getting into the hotshot trucking since I already had the truck to do so. Plus I love towing and driving. Wife and I figured we’d travel and get to know the country to see where we’d like to relocate at in the future.

It's just paperwork. Download a carrier/OO lease that best fit's your needs sign it and keep it in the truck. You never know when you may need it. Especially if you are running your company signs on the truck and the registration cab card doesn't match each other.
