Next time you book a load for $4/mi instead of $2/mi maybe you should offer a discount.

Why people crying about goods price? You want $10 per mile delivering bread? You have it.
    Bread price is up now.
I'm delivering fluid and I want to have money to buy bread you delivered.
Store people wants to buy bread too. They bumped up price for parking and scale.
Oh ####, mechanic wants to buy fluid and bumps his labor rate to $200 per hour.
    Das Kapital. K. Marx.

Asking that question is like asking why you get wet if you go out in the rain.

Right now it's a hurricane it's a typhoon it's a monsoon all happening at the same time exponentially worse than anyone has ever seen.

And you are asking why you get wet if you walk out in that.

If you have to ask, there is no hope for you.

Well I'm not on the side of truck stops or on the side of anyone or against anyone for that matter.

But the older I get when I pull into a truck stop all I see are acres of ground that need blacktop and it's expensive. I see the electric bill I see the real estate tax bill I see payroll I see what it cost to keep inventory.

The truck stops are just another victim of the times. There used to be guys on the road and they stopped at the truck stop and if they needed fuel they needed oil they needed windshield washer fluid they needed log books or a CB they needed padlocks whatever they needed they would get it there and then go to the diner and sit down and have dinner and buy a few things for the road.

Now we go to Walmart. Now we eat in our trucks with our refrigerators and our cooking apparatus.

And we park on the lot, we use the restroom, well at least some of us do, we find a mom-and-pop place to buy fuel many of the times, and we are on our way.

The revenue for these places I'm sure has dropped dramatically over the years, yet the price of everything for them also is going up and up, now especially thanks to you-know-who.

It is just a sign of the times.
