Actually, I need to make correction. After looking at DAT and Truckstop.com again, I saw nothing special for dry van for tomorrow, either. Nothing to "click and book".
I have not booked anything yet... Is the ship about to sail off?

I saw it beginning to sail off after Memorial Day. Then even more after July Fourth. Now, it's even worse. Still some decent runs but nothing like it was before the holidays. This is what I see for flatbed in my area. I'm getting pretty tired of hearing brokers say their customers refuse to pay more than ITS Rate Estimates too. Too many people are allowing ITS and DAT to essentially set rates.

A one day snap shot of rates doesn't tell the whole story though.

My list of slower months that I dislike:
    1. March (hate it the most)
    2. April
    3. October
    4. February.

Usually at this time of the year it's slowing down until mid November or so.
It probably will get really hot again in a month.

As the stimulus money are running out, it will be very interesting when this whole boom is over and market turns. Maybe the lack of parts and supply chain disruption will keep our party going a bit longer. Only if we had a crystal ball.

Another buddy of mine bought today a 2019 Volvo with 360k miles for $130k. He became an o/o last year. These new o/o just have no fear. They think this is how market is just going to stay.

I don't mind things slowing down right now. The weather is tolerable enough for me to do some massive catching up on all sorts of things I've been putting off because I was too busy running.

It’s a dry haz load with tanker endorsement required, but putting it on a reefer. Team wasn’t required but picking at 9 or 10am tomorrow and running straight through for next morning 7am to 5pm fcfs.

That's roughly $5 per mile, but getting something back west is the hard part. If you can't find anything then you're looking at $2.50 per mile round trip. Still better than a couple years ago

    Midwest Trucker Thanks this.
