    I like Stewart & Stevenson.
    a.k.a. W.W.Wiliiams.
    They can fix anything. They have a BIG shop other side of the freeway from the petro in San Antonio.

    They also vomit when you say Volvo, so don't tell them I mentioned them.

    Bakerman knows a top Volvo wrench in Phoenix, and Vanguard in Phoenix was #1 in the nation for several years.

    I sold my Volvo about 5 years ago, but I can't imagine they've changed all that much.

    i had a volvo about 17 years ago with a cummins and it was a good truck. mechanically and the ride was good and it was quiet inside. ive read a lot of good stuff about the d13 but didnt actually look into the people/dealers that i would have to deal with. my usual mechanic already told me not to bring that truck to him and that seems to be the consensus. i bought the complete Volvo D series maintenance guides so i can read up do some of the stuff myself like i did with my cummins. Bakerman mentioned that facebook group. i joined it and already have seen guys helping each other. i just have to spend some time making new contacts and getting business relationships set up.

    I don't know them, seen their YouTube videos. They have a new shop location not sure how long they have been in business. Seem to be knowledgeable.

    My last visit there with my new truck was not very good a few months ago. Thankfully, the service manager is a reasonable man and they refunded my 360 some odd dollars for the incorrect diagnosis that one of the more experienced tech performed.
    I ended up doing the repair myself and had all the pictures to back up my complaints.
