Wicked sorry for your troubles singlescrew....

Could you not buy ol' buck back from the insurance company and rebuild it, cheaper than what the used truck market is now? It don't look all that horrible really?

Some number of years ago I folded up a truck with a good ddec IV in it up in Canuckistan during a high wind event. Can't believe I let the insurance company have it. I'd give anything to undo that decision. Just my thoughts.

and when I ran out of the Vancouver BC area to 95% US destinations I preferred 90/25 over 80 anytime I ran east of I25

    Whew....glad we agree.....screw that guy....lol.

I went to go pickup my tire chains that I ordered almost 3 weeks ago at the tire guy......not there. He had a call into the distributor,
But nobody has called him back yet.
Then went to the Stites store to pickup some stuff I ordered for my house 3 weeks ago. They don't have it and the manufacturer said it is never coming. Literally. Said they are discontinuing the product because of the supply chain. Awesome. Then went to pickup my energy logs at the kamiah Clearwater builders supply, to find out that the price went up about $65 a pallet from 3 weeks ago when I was there last. Just a all around great day.
    :(

Yeap, but we (united states) always finance our enemies. Nothing new there.

Well, I thought I was getting my day started off right. I shut down early in SLC last night to switch things up from driving at night to driving during the day. So, I get cracking southbound out of SLC and hit US-6 eastbound in Spanish Fork. So far, so good. I make it 23 miles away from Price Utah and bang, a really loud bang. ######. Left front drive axle airbag decided it didn't want to hold air anymore. Then, when the airbag let go the base shifted and sheared off the stud. Ugh. This all happened at 4:15pm. The closest shop was Landon's Diesel Service in Price Utah and they close at 5:00pm. After a couple of phone calls to Kenworth parts the parts rep walked my new airbag next door to the shop and I pulled in at 4:45pm after rolling across the scale at the Price port of entry.

Their mechanic, Anthony, had me in and out in less than an hour with the new airbag installed along with making a new stud for the mount. Big shout out and mad props to Landon's for taking care of my truck so fast at the end of the day.

I've always been a cat guy. I'm not opposed to others though.....just never owned anything but Cat in trucks. I know the 60 series are good engines and very popular. I just don't know anything about newer engines.......at all. Depending on how it goes this winter, I'm going to keep an eye out for a lighter 4 axle t800 next spring. I'm just not sure how new I want to go yet.
