    Great minds think alike......:biggrin_25514:
As little as $25.00 a week can amount $1,300.00 in a year.

I completly disagree with your statements on truckers and see it as an insult. I worked as an engineer for 30 years in the automotive industry and do not consider myself a low life. I have found that most companies will not hire you if you are a convicted felon. You really need to learn to check your mouth at the door. Listen to my granny's advice "if you can't say anything nice...don't say anything at all"....

Many companies have created this situation, intelligent and hard working drivers usually leave companies like this quickly.

The ones that are left either don't "know any better", fallen on hard times, have limited options, and are basically "homeless" without trucking.

These are the kind of drivers these unscrupulous companies want - and actively persue.

These are the kind of drivers that accept the entire load of BS these companies "dish out" - and more likely not to consult an attorney in a bad situation like this.

They don't need to be accommodated for home time, don't realize when they're being exploited, believe most of the BS out of their FM's, DM's, DP's mouth, and don't even know what "good pay" is ...

I've actually argued with grown men who believe the "company line" that drivers in general are overpaid, too demanding, and the "reason" their own company can't give these drivers a raise.

The "industry" has created this situation - and from a business point of view, they have made a fortune from exploited labor.

In their mind driving isn't "rocket science", so the people they hire to do the job should recieve a minimal amount of pay for it.

Many of these transportation executives have a particular disdain for intelligent, educated, and articulate drivers that would cause them the most problems.

I've had DM's and FM's "loose their cool" many times for calling them on matters, stating facts, and articulating a solid position to which they're only reply was to cuss or hang up the phone. "Simple mindedness" is just easier to deal with.

Add greed driven CDL mill operators that have no morals and begin the exploitation of these people and you pretty well have it .

What do you think shady companies do when they're about to go out of business?

... Take their trucks and property and start truck driving schools.

Im wondering if he even drives anymore? If not go away.. The forums dont need his negativity. There is a huge difference between constructive criticism and being down right ornery and negative.. Ive not seen anything constructive from any of his posts.. :biggrin_25513: Just lies and hate for the industry..

He lives in Cleveland! If you've ever been to Cleveland you'd know that's where jobs go to die. It's almost a little Detroit, that's the source of his hatred. For a perfect example go to Youtube and search for "Hastily made cleveland tourism video". There are 2 of them there made by the same guy (they've been featured on many TV stations like ESPN and Fox) and they pretty much sum it up.:biggrin_2559:
