They're going to walk all over you. Take the advice already given to you and walk away. It's not a good opportunity and I feel pretty confident that you won't make much money off it after expenses and time involved. As mentioned earlier you need to figure out your expenses and what you need after these to grow and prosper along with time involved for the day. Nobody can give you those numbers as their very unique to you and your circumstances.

$550 a load rock bottom: tell them $650 per to start and if they tell you to #### off you didn’t lose anything anyway.

I was gonna say 800 a day. Glad I didn't say anything. I would have him/her in the broke house.

Ok red truck. Because I love all things trucking and I know nothing about this subject. Let me ask you a couple questions and. I will try and help you.
Is it your truck? Is it your flat bed? How fast can they load you safely. And you secure it safely? How fast can you get un loaded safely? Whats your turn around time? How often do you get paid? Weekly monthly....per trip? ......Not per day. But how many trips can you safely do weekly, under worst case scenario. 7-8.? How much do they wiegh? How much are you paying for fuel after all discounts. How far do u travel to get the first load. Do u have to follow the 70 in 8 days?
Ill be asking questions all weekend. And giving you what I think for a price Sunday night or Monday morning.
But ill be right up front with you. If you don't own the truck or have 8k sitting for tires. And or don't have insurance already. I'm Problaly just gonna give it a pass. But like I said. Im interested in all things trucking.

    You Using a flatbed ?
Or a trailer with sides ?

how are they loaded and unloaded ?

how long does it take to load and how long to unload?

how much does it cost you per week for your truck payment and insurance and other fixed expenses ?

hiw much per week do you want to earn as a salary?
How much per week as profit for a future truck and expenses ?

who is hauling their cars now ?
Have you watched from down the street to see ?

who hauled them in the past?

or are they just stacking thousands of them while they try to find someone to haul them ?

who hauls the cars for other scrapyards ?

    feldsforever Thanks this.

Doing two loads a day using netting will be a pita. I hauled scrap for a couple years. We had a customer that had a 65 mile run. By the time you did did two it was a full day. That was with an end dump. Slower to load than a flat but faster to unload so it's a wash. 90 per cent of the guys up here that haul cars are putting them in a container that opens up like a claimshell from the side. They bolt that whole container into there flatbed. They have cables inside the container to keep the cars from falling against the opening side of the container. Btw on that run we used to say we got paid for one run a day. Our costs percentage wise was close to 50 percent of the trucks gross for fuel, tire repairs, ins and plates.
