Currently it's a private estate, but I'll be working to spin it into a kind of trucker's refuge

Skip gears. You are a crazy fanatic. If life in Canada is so bad pack up and leave. Where do you plan on going where things are better?,
skipgears Thanks this. -
If speaking the truth and expressing an opinion makes him a crazy fanatic, I’ll gladly join him. Anywhere is better than this socialist country. I know one thing, this is not the Canada my grandfather fought in wars for.Condi, ProfessionalNoticer, Magoo1968 and 2 others Thank this.

Exactly. I say the things many only think in quietude on this forum while lurking around. I am the 'crazy fanatic' voice of the many who've had enough of what's happening. It's only sad that ex-patriating is the only viable solution to sustain sanity. I'd rather we all got together to overcome the evils of our societal incapacities, in turn to appropriately evaluate our condition. Yet we've become so polarized on the issues it's seeming impossible to arrange any compromise. A house divided cannot stand. Canada is sliding down further into communism with each passing year, modeling after the Chinese system. Majority don't see it, because they've never felt it.
Same for the USA, more and more people each year denouncing their citizenship. It's a trend, indeed.ProfessionalNoticer, Magoo1968, reeferwrencher and 2 others Thank this. -
Not all states are an 80,000lb gross weight. Washington State for example is 105,500. Also, B-Trains exist so we can carry more weight in a more balanced way.skipgears and aaronpeterbilt3787 Thank this. -
I realize that, but 105,500 is a far cry from 63500kgjoey8686 Thanks this.

They could reduce the # of trucks on the road by 1000's if they would join the 21st century. My LTL loads are frequently maxed out in excess of 130Kaaronpeterbilt3787 Thanks this.

There’s two sides to that…..reduce trucks, good thing. But in Canada, most b-train loads pay a fraction better than tandem loads. As an owner, I’ll never put my truck on to haul heavy. The increased wear and tear just isn’t worth it, in my opinion. Neither is the increased wear and tear on the roads. You get out of Canada/Michigan, it’s like someone flicked a switch in the road conditions.
