Im gonna have to look that up in the book. Everyone I know carries an electric space heater for when parked for an extended time.
-
One good rule to follow is plugging in the block hater while the engine is still warm. I don't think over using it will do any harm. I am told that the block heater will burn out over time.
roshea Thanks this. -
I know I do, but all I did was quote the regulation as you requested. I doesn't matter if it is electric or liquid fuel or propane, no portable heaters allowed.
Actually I'm shopping for a new one because my ten year old one died last week.
I wonder if a heater is like a radar detector, mere possession is enough to be a violation? -
Highly unlikely, the last thing a DOT officer would be concerned about would be if you had a space heater or not.
Unless you were a highly uncooperative individual, they might want to pull that card.alds Thanks this. -
