There is no way that work can be qualified as 1099 . They'll get him sooner or later . Just the interest and penalties will kill him .
That's what I can't understand about FedEx Ground van contractors . Now they have to have multiple routes so they have to hire drivers . They pay the costs and benefits for drivers a large corporation like FedEx isn't willing to pay .

You and about 99% of the O/O's on the board...
FED-EX ops must be like the O/O's that run tarped lumber for less than a buck a mile.....

Well that was short lived. Illinois, eastbound I-80, 75mm, one bear, two heavy tow trucks, one FedEx daycab with two pups off in the corn field. C'mon, the roads are dry out here, lol.

Seems like Fed Ex trucks are also more likely to blow off the chain law. About a month ago, after the first snow in the Oregon Blues, I came upon a Fed Ex truck with a car wedged against it on the driver's side, blocking the right lane. It was right next to the scale on the west bound side on top of Cabbage Hill. He had no chains mounted eventhough the law was in effect. I've also seen them going up Cabbage with no chains and stuck due to loss of traction. Then they try to chain up in the middle of the road after they realize they screwed up to begin with.

A couple winters ago there was a fed ex truck slid off the exit 265 i beleive there at La Grande Oregon by the flying j, it was slick and he was trying to get back on the freeway going west bound and wound up blocking that exit for quite a while because he didnt put chains on,, shame on fed ex drivers.

What is really sad. Every time I have a package shipped, it comes via FedX. When it gets here it is on time, and damage free.. Now UPS is another story, each time one comes from them, the package is late, and box is damaged ????????

Followed a FedEx truck on 71 in Ohio at about 1 am. He was swervin all over the place for over 40 miles. DOT bear came up in the hammer lane saw him swerve so he got behind him. After knowing DOT was behind him he couldn't keep it off the shoulder. So he pulled him over of course.
