    Hi Knowledgeable Mechanics,

The electrical system in my 2007 Volvo VNL 670 with a D12 engine shuts down every ten minutes or so. The system shuts down both when the engine is running and also when the engine is not running but the key is turning on and the electrical system is on. I installed a new egr cooler and valves but I don’t think it is related. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

    Codes are:
    MID 128 PID 100 FMI 3
    MID 128 PID 84 FMI 9
    MID 128 PID 171 FMI 9
    MID 128 SID 146 FMI 5
    MID 128 SID 230 FMI 5
    MID 144 PSID 205 FMI 9

    ROAD SPEED DATA ERATIC
    IDLE VALIDATION SWITCH
    ENGINE OIL PRESSURE
    AMIENT AIR TEMP COMMUNICATION ERROR
    ELECTRICAL FAULT
SAE J1939 DATA LINK DATA ERATIC

    Thanks for your help,

    Jake

Well check all your battery connections. Hot and ground. At batteries and starter and any other chassis grounds. Beyond that I don't really know. Does an 07 have any sort of body controller or some other computer controlled garbage? ¹

Thanks! I will check all the connections at batteries and starter. I had new batteries installed and that may be the problem. It does have some computer garbage...One of the codes says it may be related to a VECU- Vehicle Control Module... I order one on ebay ...it's on it's way... Maybe it will make a difference...Thanks again for your help.

I think the problem was the Qualcomm unit...I am only using the truck for local now so I was able to disconnect it. The truck is running well now without shutting don't every 10 minutes... Thank you.
