Not sure on Three Rivers. Bay City is hand unload still. That right turn into the alley is the devil!! It would not be so bad if the 4 wheelers would not try to block and/or get run over. There is nothing that can be done about that location. The manager says there is talk of a new store.

I lost my MOJO somewhere and don't run real hard. It has become a "lifestyle" job for me. It ain't all about the gross pay. I only did about $70k last year, but it's an easy $70k.

Nice thing about working here is that you can pretty much run as hard as you want or hang under the radar and take it easy. I'm only half joking when I tell people I could die and it would take them 3 days to figure out I wasn't coming to work.

While it's a good paying job, if I were to list out all the reasons I work here, pay would probably be 5th or 6th. There are better paying trucking jobs out there for sure but you would be hard pressed to find a better company to work for imo.

I came to SW with big $$$ in mind. I got really discouraged in the first 6 months. I was hustling to make bank, but they were not making it happen. That is where I lost my MOJO. As time went on, I just got comfortable with things. I found that I was making enough, and they are so easy to deal with. It will probably be my last driving job. Yes, it is all the other things that keep me here.

Is DEF as much of a gravy job as I think it is?

Don’t underestimate how hot, heavy and hard it can be at times. Nothing like sweating through your clothes at 7am pushing paint uphill to the back of the trailer. This is after driving into oncoming traffic to back off of a busy street into a strip mall. The pay is definitely good and it is a very easy going place to work, But work you will!

I'm so conditioned to it, I don't think about that stuff much. I just do it. The thing is, I paid some dues with some common carriers, staying out 4 months at a time. This is like a pie walk in comparison. The stress is much less than dealing with unrealistically planned loads.

Truck drivers are fatties and need the exercise anyway.
Every day is leg day at SW.

They are hiring for tanker drivers out of Chicago. Anybody have any info on how that gig works?
