in europe it is extremely rare case to have rotator crane on wrecker truck, they come with extendable boom on lift.
most wreckers are made on wb less than 230 inch and it is not big deal if it stay vertical instead of parallel to vehicle it is pulling out. i have made one 4axle so far, truck is being used for everything except wrecking, it is just side function of it. it is mostly used as a crane truck.
in wrecking cases they use cranes to get cars/campers that had accident and went out of road, crane is 20+m long. it was being used in lifting of mobile homes, lifting boats from sea, pulling heavy haulage trucks on site....Cat sdp, medioker, daf105paccar and 1 other person Thank this. -
