So why do you think he took this course of action?
What has occurred in the last few weeks or months that made him think you were going to screw him?
I'm not making any judgements, but when stuff like this happens it's good to go back and look at root causes.

There are just as bad drivers as there are bad carriers. Stories like in this thread typically happen when a driver is pissed off big time. If it is not about money, it could be about something else, for instance, to piss off an ####### dispatcher as a retaliatory measure. It does not mean that a driver is right about it. Once I was waken up in terror by a noise caused by a guy who was beating his truck hood, parked next to mine, with a crowbar. He had to stop for a second to catch a breath and I yelled to him to take it easy. He said it was an ####### dispatcher wanting him to go somewhere where he hated going, then he got in his truck and took off.
In this industry we are surrounded by people who are on the border line with madness and employers who treat drivers as an extension to their property.Vitkouski, WannaGoTrucks2016, shooter19802003 and 4 others Thank this. -
Nothing has occurred that was related to getting paid. He probably felt like he was overworked and underpaid and too concerned with how much money I was making.Another Canadian driver Thanks this. -
It's amazing how a lot of the post here is in favor of the driver. I know a lot of companies run the drivers to the ground but drivers do bad things in good situations just as often. The drivers are usually low level thinkers and have have a lot of street tendencies. All this will be resolved when autonomous trucks take all the driving jobs and then the drivers have to go back to food service and warehouse jobs or living under their welfare baby mothers roof for free. I once had some faith in drivers but I realize that most of them are bad. I know a lot of small fleet owners who feel the same way. Gave chance after chance with no success. I paid 30-40% of the load with them home twice a week, flexibility of the lanes they want to run as well. Trucking is just a ####ty industry. Automation will fix all of this and the same big players will win.
