As a company driver I would prefer automatic, as an o/o I would get manual.
Just an example. Last week clutch hose broke. With an automatic you need towing, wait for parts, wait for repair, all that stuff.
With a manual you put truck in gear, start it and float all the way home. Lots of money and time saved up right here.
Automatics also have complicated electronics. Simple relay glitch or a problem somewhere in the harness will have you sit on the side of a roadSpeed_Drums, LoneRanger and Pamela1990 Thank this. -
Plus it’s cool to sit below the dash line to not see in front of you and shift gears with your hand all the way up at 12 o’clock like your in school asking a question.Last Call Thanks this. -
It is ?????..I guess Iam not 1 of the Cool Kids

It’s all good, At least your not me. The Nerd. I’ve set up my shifter that’s underneath the cab.

YOur not looking at the large picture. They are flooding the industry in large numbers due to the simplicity of automatic trucks and ease of obtaining class a with auto restriction. Idiots flooding the trucking industry worse than mexicans flooding the US because of bidens incentives on coming here illegally

I’m going to go with a manual. It’s a 13 speed. Only driven a 10 speed but I’ll learn
Speed_Drums and Pamela1990 Thank this. -
