I have witnessed first hand what a negative attitude verus a positive one will do to you. You think negative and the floors will drop beneth you. Think positive and you will find things are getting better. My instructors always told me to have confidence otherwise you will not make it.

Curious, we are just having fun and fully understand the intent of the postings. This thread will continue due to unlimited material coming from posters. You can be sure we are neither disrespectful or ignorant. Oh, by the way it's "grammar" and not "grammer". :biggrin_25523:

Here is my question..Have you bothered to ask these gentlemen if YOUR fun is amusing to them? When I read this thread I did NOT want to read about spelling errors and grammer errors. I came in here to read the WISDOM of a veteran O/O.

I am sure you will continue this but it is still disrespectful and ignorant. And yes, I do find it disrespectful..These gentlemen are probably your elders, I know they are mine, and pointing out spelling mistakes is quite rude. But it is reality. Even in the real world we have rude people.

I'm one of the original posters and I don't have a big problem with the "spelling bee hijackers". Sometimes that's what happens around here, I even tossed in my two cents worth somwhere in there.

The original intent of the thread is still evident and I don't think southernpride is gonna get too worried about it either.
We have already addressed the issue of spelling a number of times on the board and have all pretty much come to the conclusion that what matters is the content and not the spelling and grammar.

Having said that...Some of these guys are going to freak out about spelling anyway.
    So what?

I personally love it when someone comes in and gets all huffy about spelling and grammar while commiting repeated grammatical felonies and misspelling every other word.

Every now and then we all make mistakes with grammar and punctuation...I don't consider it disrespectful to have it poked fun at, As long as it's done in a fairly respectful manner.
Sometimes it helps all of us learn to improve our somewhat limited writing skills.

Threads have a way of tailing off in unpredictable directions. I, being one of the ignorant and disrespectful posters you refer to, apologize to you for causing you any discomfort. The "elders" you refer to, several of whom are on my "friends" list, are elders to me only in the trucking sense. I am chronologically close to them in age, perhaps older. One of my most trusted "friends" posted, just this morning, to a thread I started several days ago. This kind of thing happens quite often. Those "elders" know that I am deeply appreciative of ALL they are willing to share.
We've done this "spelling/grammar" gymnastics more than once and will probably do it again. Be sure to understand that I know that when these "elders" go see their banker....their banker smiles, shakes their hand, and listens and understands every word that comes from the "elder's" mouth.

Best wishes for a safe and prosperous new year! ONGB out!
