SouthernPride is very much a respected member here. His knowledge, experience and patience make him an excellant teacher. When I have question that pertains to trucking, I actively seek his answers.

We all know what to expect from each member here, and we have accepted it for what it is. I am the annoying baby sister.

Alright guys quit playing around, I have an inportant question...

I was at the store and picking up some supplies and road munchies. I just had to make a quick decision and wasn't able to seek advise from you all here first. I hope I made the right choice.

Anyway, I was at the store getting supplies and all as I said. It was going fairly well, the cart had one wheel that sorta stuck now and again, but I was able to manage it. I was able to find everything on the list, and some items were even on sale.

I was feeling good, relaxed and confident. That is when I got in a bit over my head. I am still a newbie, and I give my best, but sometimes situations just come up that you haven't had a chance to learn about and have to make a split second decision. In my case it wasn't a split second decison, I had a little time to think it through, but there was a lot on the line.

I ride with an O/O, and he is training me. We get along great, I am doing well with learning everything and my driving. I know how important it is to do my best, pay attention, be rspectful and all.
I have heard stories of those who were doing great then just got canned, booted, kicked to the kirb because of making a bad decision. That is why I have always been very consciencious in my choices.

Well, anyway, there I was at the store, getting supplies and all like I stated a couple of times already. BigD had given me the list, and as I said before, I was getting all the things on the list and some were even on sale. Well, on the list that he gave me, he had several items, won't go into to much detail about that now, maybe later if needed.

Anyway, one item on his list he was not very detailed about. He has many years of experience, so I am sure for the experienced, it was enough, but I am still a newbie. As I stated earlier this was the first time I had ever been in this situation, and they didn't go over in school either. So I was on my own and had to just make a decision right then and there.

okay, so, on his list, he put, and this is word for word, there was no more information than what I am giving you. For you experienced drivers, please remember I am a newbie and had nver gone over this before, not in school, or in any of my training. So while it may be enough information for you, it isn't for a newbie.

Anyway, on his list word for word, he wrote, in pen on the back if an envelope,
"Nutter Butter Cookies". He didn't specify if he wanted the round ones or the peanut shaped ones. The round ones were on sale, so I got them. When I got back to the truck and was putting things away, that is when I noticed the nutter butters he had before were the peanut shaped ones.

Now, this is about a man and his cookies. So, it is serious. I am only a newbie, but I know that much. I just don't know how serious.

Could this end my driving career.
Can it show up on my DAC and if so, will another OO even consider me...

Anyway, I would really appreciate your input.

It is a slow day today, so I will be able to check back and keep you posted. He hasn't found out yet, I don't know if I should bring it up or wait till he goes for his cookies.

    Baack Thanks this.

    Oh, I forgot something.

Having a sense of humor is part of having a positive attitude.
I have noticed that some of those with a poor attitude also lack a sence of humor.

Oh you poor thing..How could a newbie screw up so bad??:biggrin_2551:

I am sure it will be on your DAC..And you will probably have to lie on every trucking application you turn in from now on..NEVER tell anyone about this chargeable offense!!
