Not sure on FLD120 but seems my international had air on to release the fan clutch. make sure thiers power and air to the fan silinod.on the IH when you turned the key off the fan clutch locked, my cat releases with the key off.
-
check the fuse. if the fuse for the fan is bad, the fan will run all the time. if fuse is good, it is most likely the solenoid. about $90.00
-
I'd also check the connection for the airline to the fan hub. If it isn't getting air, it will stay engaged.

true too! .... -
there is two types of fan clutch. One uses air to release and one uses air to lock it up.
Make sure you have the right switch for the clutch -
i will check on that but i think they kept everything from the old motor and just transferd it to the new one. Truck doesn't warm up very good with the fan on at -20 or 30C
-
that fan will aslo eat up h.p & m.p.g.
-
need to see if the a/c high pressure switch is the same on both trucks. one will be normally open and the other will be normally closed. if u have the wrong one the fan will run all the time

Thought of that one too the guy who fixed our a/C couldn't locate that switch. He said he looked everywear. HP and mpg aren't to big of an issue. Purple diesal is cheap and running 4.56 gears kind of kills mpg anyway. Any ideas of where the a/c swithch is located.
