Trucker Shoots And Kills Another Trucker

UPDATE 12/8 3:01 p.m. — A 66-year-old man from Georgia has been charged following a shooting on Tuesday morning on I-81 that left one man dead.

Police said that Harold Rue has been charged with one count of murder after what they believe to be a road rage incident between two truckers. Both truckers had pulled off to the shoulder at the 23-mile marker northbound.

That's exactly it. Punches were thrown, both parties would get a couple scratches and bruises. 9 times out of 10 you were buddies afterwards.

 

Probably a dame involved somehow. I get such a chuckle how removed we are today from actual human interaction, all because of this wonderful machine. Couple upset truckers, big news, this been going on since deregulation, we aren't "people persons", society pixxes us off, it's why we became truck drivers in the 1st place. Those recluse type actions are bound to conflict with someone else, and since nobody will admit they are wrong, it spirals out of control, and since any legal attempt is futile, BOOM,,,problem solved,,for them, for now. Truckers have ALWAYS been a rough and tumble bunch, it was a lot different settling something face to face, than behind a screen, and THIS, my friends, is the result of all that. I knew of plenty of drivers I just plain stayed away from, because they were bad apples, and couldn't be hired anywhere else. It's helped me see the real BS'ers later on in life. We don't know the whole story, never did, never will, don't want to know, this shmucks sore P-P made him kill someone else, tragic as it is, who cares? The innernet[sic] makes it seem like it's everyones business somehow, and the truth may be a lot less interesting than something made up, news is BIG business. I believe very little of what belches forth on the screen today.

 

I understand packing a gun. I just don't understand using it unless you absolutely have to. I stupid trucker is dead because he was so tough that he didn't care if the other guy had a gun. The other stupid trucker is at the minimum going to jail or spending thousands of dollars defending himself in court. But he won the argument.

We now have a generation of new drivers ...some of whom were raised by mommies that didn't teach them manners , courtesy and self control.
