I think it depends on the insurance company, the driver, and maybe the drivers record. Our insurance has "suggested" a few times they turn us down to 70 mph, we're a small fleet of a dozen trucks. Knock on wood, it's been a very long time since anyone had an at fault accident that didn't involve wildlife, although I think there have been a couple of tickets.
Why I never follow to close or drive in packs

I was referring to company OTR drivers. It’s very rare to hear company drivers getting paid percentage by mega companies. On the other hand, this is common for leased on owner operators. Independent owner operators running the load boards don’t really get paid percentage to my knowledge. The rate is negotiated between the carrier and the broker for a particular load. Now, maybe contract freight is negotiated by percentage, but I’m not familiar with how that works.

Had a container hauler tailgating me on 240 in Memphis yesterday while I'm loaded with a 57 foot load of steel.Guess he wanted a better look at the steel.

I don’t know about other states but in OHIO following to close is a CDL disqualification of up to 1 year. And if your charged with it twice you can lose your CDL for lifePamela1990 Thanks this.
