Not as badly as many others did.
Our highways are so messed up though, that stores are pretty much empty.
I've been trying to buy several turkeys for weeks now, can't find one, anywhere.
If I owned a reefer, would drive to somewhere, buy a truck load, come back and sell them.
It doesn't appear that anyone will be having turkey this Christmas up here. Would like to buy enough to give to my elderly neighbors and friends, and keep one for us.
Out of desperation I have been buying many food items that I would never normally buy.
We eat a lot of eggs, haven't had eggs in weeks. Bought margarine because there is no butter.
Been baking bread, at least we had a huge bag of flour I bought a couple of months ago, because the bread shelves are bare.
Meat is scarce, but a friend who hunts brought us over a bunch of moose meat, and did find a few beef roasts, so i grabbed them quickly. A woman who was there looked in the meat area after me, and there was nothing left. She sighed, so I took a roast from my cart and placed it in hers.
I snapped up the last bag of potatoes that same trip, haven't seen any potatoes for sale since.
