So I'm looking at all these monthly payment ticket protection companies. Like legal sheild, protectmycdl, drivers legal plan, and ORDP. I'm looking to add it and pay for it for all our o/o's just as a little bonus. Plus helping them fight ALL tickets helps us as a carrier.
Does anyone have experience with any of these? Are they rip offs? ORDP has some good reviews. Any and all feedback is appreciated.

My dash cam is the best protection I've ever had. No tickets from lying POS pigs. It has GPS, time/date stamp and speed all on the screen.

Your best bet is simply not to speed. That will prevent 95% of problems with law enforcement.TallJoe and BennysPennys Thank this.

And if you do speed keep it at 3mph over the limit tops. Also, don't speed in work zones ever I've heard that is basically a business killer if you're an OO or career ender if you work for someone.
Work zone speed limits can be absolute ######## btw. Go 45mph on the interstate when everyone else is going atleast 55 around you, have fun.BennysPennys Thanks this. -
One time I was in philly going through a work zone in my car, and a cop pulled me over.
I don't think I was quite doing the speed limit but I was going faster than what the construction zone was posted. But there were no lights flashing it did not say active work zone.
I told the cop that the light was not flashing and he said it doesn't matter. He said if it's a work zone you have to slow down..
He did not give me a ticket, and he may or may not have been correct in what he was saying, but ever since then whenever I go through a work zone I take my time.BennysPennys Thanks this. -
When I started I got many speeding tickets and belonged to the protection club -they were based somewhere near Seattle, WA. They were just giving referrals and in theory discounted lawyers fees. That's BS.
My personal feeling that the level of effectiveness is the same when you try to find a lawyer yourself, near the court where you have the case. I ditched the club after two years and I still were getting more tickets but I was finding lawyers on my own with even better results.
The last ticket I got was in 2007 near Alamogordo, NM 65 in 55 mph. I called a local lawyer and for $600 and $200 donation to some organization which I forgot what it was, the cop withdrew the ticket from the court. After years, I slowed down but I think it came by itself, as if with age...like your body and mind does not want to travel at higher speed. Sort of strange.Speed_Drums, Wespipes and ProfessionalNoticer Thank this. -
There’s a section of highway right now on interstate 20 Around Birmingham. I’m sure some of you have driven through it. They set the speed limit all the way down to 45 mph for no apparent reason. There is no construction going on, the highway is wide open and flat. Wide lanes, it’s not in a busy area of town and I scratch my head trying to figure out why it’s posted at 45 mph. If you actually slow down to 45 mph through this section you would probably be ran off the road. Everyone still does 70+. Is this a speed trap? It makes zero sense. 45? Really? With zero reasoning.
I slowed to like 52 through the seven mile section. No way I could drop to 45.
