With so many here traveling all over you’ve probably had just about every fast food burger in existence. So what’s the best?
Whataburger, In and Out, Wendy’s, Steak and Shake? Maybe you like a burger from a place that’s not really fast food like Five Guys.
In Texas there is a never ending argument as to whether In and out, or Whataburger has the best burgers. Both are decent. But I break away from the argument because I think both are wrong. The best burger here in Texas for my money is Freddy’s. And they have really good ice cream as well. They also always give me 15% off with Veteran I.D as the founder Freddy was a WW2 vet.
I’m a burger lover, and a burger snob. Refuse to eat the cardboard at McDonalds. There are many good burgers but if you haven’t tried Freddy’s I’d recommend that you should. They don’t cook it till it’s ordered. So it’s always hot and fresh. Don’t think they are nationwide though.
So what’s your opinion. Where do you go for your favorite burger when you’re on the run ?

I'm glad to see you had Five Guys on the list..I'm definitely a fan.....cooked to order, and an unbelievable amount of fries! When rating a burger, for me, juiciness/greasiness is a huge factor in coming up with a rating and Five Guys is mega greasy......if you don't put the A-1 sauce on it, it's pointless lol.....you got me intrigued by Freddy's though....a couple that are within walking distance from truck stops came to mind immediately.VinceBlack and Shackdaddy Thank this.

Wonder if it’s possible for @REO6205 or someone to merge the threads. Forum seems to have the hiccups and double posted the original post. Either that or it was my fat fingers lol.

If you hit the "Post Reply" once it'll still do it, you'll just have to close the browser and reopen it. It takes several seconds to show but it eventually does....super glitchyFlat Earth Trucker and Shackdaddy Thank this.

White Castle , who else can pull off selling them in the freezer at Kroger , nobody.
autopaint, GYPSY65, motocross25 and 3 others Thank this. -
I can’t say I’d choose any of them. I’d rather take 3 lbs of regular ground chuck, 1 lb of ground hot Italian sausage, 1 lb of bacon diced up, a block of Monterey Jack jalapeño cheese grated, mixed and tossed onto the indirect smoker and toast the bottoms of the buttered buns for those suckers who eat bread. That and some green Morgan Rum and you’re set.

Been a while since I’ve been at White Castle. Guess I thought they were too small and not meaty enough. You got to eat a bunch to fill you up. But I’ll check them out next chance I get: Is the one in the Kroger freezer the same quality of the one in the restaurant?

Mine on the grill!

Haven't been to a few on the list but for fast food I'd have to go 5 guys. I delivered to them doing food service, they got quality ingredients. Fresh not frozen beef and good whole vegetables not pre sliced
Shackdaddy Thanks this. -
It's a toss up between Five Guys, Whataburger, Burger King for me. Wendy's, too.
Honorable mention: Fuddruckers makes a mighty fine burger.
