My luck with trainer, so stress right now.

Everyone is dog meat their first year.

Just make the best of it. Do not change companies. It's the same BS with a different name on the door.

Just do your one year at this place, focus on keeping your record clean, and learning everything you can about driving, planning, and logs.

At one year, the door swings wide open. You just have to be determined.

Asian, just speaking from practical experience, trainers are worthless. You’re on the right path as it is, don’t let this derail you onto a path of being an average driver.

To learn how to “drive” a truck takes time and you earn your skills.

Training needs to take place before your cdl is handed out, no other skill trades has any training system that has this crap go on and here it should be more stringent than some clown handed the title of trainer.

I have yet meet a trainer that was worth anything, I have hired a few who were trainers with great references but totally sucked at driving.

The thing is don’t put in a lot of emphasis on training, go through the crap of learning what you can and keep on the path to be the best driver you can be.

I could never sleep while someone drives and smokes and cranks the radio. This is why I will never team drive. I had my time with a trainer and I'm never doing that again.

Sounds like you're at a bad company with bad trainers. My first company (Schneider) had a training program where you didn't have to live on the truck with the trainer much at all. I spent less than 10 nights sharing a bunk with my trainer, and the rest of my training I was in a hotel.

Schneider is always hiring. They still call me to this day. I'm not saying they're the best- you'll still run into issues, like you will with any company.
But, looking back, I did enjoy their on-board training program.

And don't ever let someone rush you or shame you for GOAL. Stand your ground and do the right thing. Take your time and make sure your safe, clean, and legal. Rather do something slow and not hit anyone then have your CDL ruined by a preventable collision.
