I have a just slightly over a quarter tank of fuel in a 2019 freightliner Cascadia. Will I be able to idle all night? Thank you!
Can I idle All Night with a quarter tank?

2016 kenworth uses just over ½ a gallon an hour idling.
-
Dunno. How big are the tanks?
LameMule, Pamela1990 and Savor the Flavor Thank this. -
You probably don't want to get down to less than 20 gallons left in your tanks so you can drive, instead of walk, to the nearest pumps in the morning. Safe to figure 1 gallon an hour if you idle at 800-900 rpm.

Yes...that needle won't even move.

Then easily, yes.
You can idle a lot longer than overnight on 75 gallons.
Most aren't actually empty, when the gauge says empty either.
Mine can read empty, and yet I drove another hour, and it was still running.
You can probably idle for 3 days on that much.Trucker61016 and tscottme Thank this. -
Even with 100 gallon tanks, you still have 50 gallons left with 1/4 showing.
Idling the truck does not take more than 1 gallon per hour.Trucker61016, feldsforever and Pamela1990 Thank this. -
If gauge is accurate yes….Id look inside tank,,,dip tank with a stick maybe. Never trust a fuel gauge if you not familiar with the truck. Had a truck 4 days last week gauge always read half or less even with them topped up
Trucker61016 and snowman1980 Thank this. -
Depends how you're parked ... if you're leaning to one side you run the risk of emptying a tank.
tscottme Thanks this.
